Beastmaster
PvM · Complete character build
Pet mastery, personal defence and recovery
How It Plays
Tame an eligible companion, direct it in combat and treat the pet with Veterinary. Use Magery to heal yourself; Veterinary is for the pet, not your own HP. This recommended build does not require Spellweaving. Passive Animal Taming Gain can advance when your real pet damages an eligible PvM monster at least once; Fresh Taming remains the fastest way to train.
Skill Distribution
These values use exactly 720 points from the shared 720-point skill cap.
| Skill | Target | Why it belongs |
|---|---|---|
| Animal Taming | 120 | Controls stronger eligible pets and their progression. |
| Animal Lore | 120 | Supports control, knowledge and pet power. |
| Bushido / Pet Mastery | 120 | Scales the pet role and mastery abilities. |
| Veterinary | 100 | Treats injured pets. |
| Resisting Spells | 100 | Helps the tamer survive hostile magic while the pet fights. |
| Focus | 80 | Supports the Beastmaster power package. |
| Magery | 80 | Casts Heal and Greater Heal for the tamer, as well as useful field spells. |
Books & Equipment
Eligible pet, Pet Mastery/Bushido book or system and a Magery spellbook with reagents. Taming, Lore and Bushido 120 require Power Scrolls.
Important Rules · Caps and Progression
Training above 100 still uses points from the same 720. A matching Power Scroll raises an eligible individual skill ceiling; it grants no trained points and adds no room to the shared total.
Trained Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence share a separate 250-point limit. Requirements for books, abilities and equipment still apply when a listed skill reaches its target.
Native Necromancy is unavailable. Arcanism has its own progression and Arcane Spellbook, and its points count toward 720.
