Trained Tracking adds to eligible bow or crossbow hits against players: +10% at 100 and up to +20% at 120 through Power Scroll tiers. It does not boost spells or melee. Native Tracking still locates eligible players, with an opposed concealment check for hidden targets.

Locates eligible targets and adds passive PvP bow/crossbow damage; supports Archer PvM.

Find the direction of eligible players or creatures. Trained Tracking also passively adds PvP bow/crossbow damage and supports the Archer path against monsters.
Skill summary, training and related paths
Power Scroll and cap information
Maximum skill: 120 with a matching Power Scroll. It starts with a 100 cap. Scrolls unlock 105, 110, 115 or 120; you still train the points and keep the same shared total of 720.
Understanding effective skill
Which value counts? Trained Tracking adds only to eligible bow or crossbow hits against players. It does not increase spells or melee hits.
Tracking contributes to the Archer support-template calculation up to its base-skill target of 80. That template power applies to eligible Archer PvM Codex effects, not to PvP attacks.
Requirements
The PvP damage components use trained base Tracking; Power Scrolls unlock 105/110/115/120. Search range and stalking keep their existing 100-skill maximum, while concealment and map restrictions still apply.
How to use it, step by step
If a step says to use a skill, open your character window, choose Skills and use the button beside that skill. If it says to use a tool, double-click the tool in your backpack. Passive benefits work automatically.
- Use Tracking from Skills.
- Choose a target category, then a target from the results you can detect.
- Follow the direction shown while the tracking remains valid.
What changes as your skill rises
Read the conditions above each table. A percentage may describe a chance, a damage component or a multiplier: those are different things. The other values stay fixed unless the table says otherwise.
What the skill affects: Trained Tracking adds only to eligible bow or crossbow hits against players. It does not increase spells or melee hits.
Exact damage comparisons and conditions
PvP ranged damage component
A bow or crossbow hits another player; before other bonuses, defences and the final PvP hit ceiling. No active tracking arrow is required.
| Trained Tracking | Ranged component | Added per 100 base ranged damage |
|---|---|---|
| 50 | +5% | +5 |
| 80 | +8% | +8 |
| 90 | +9% | +9 |
| 100 | +10% | +10 |
| 105 | +12.5% | +12.5 |
| 110 | +15% | +15 |
| 115 | +17.5% | +17.5 |
| 120 | +20% | +20 |
Native search range
Concealment and target eligibility still apply.
| Effective Tracking | Range |
|---|---|
| 80 | 90 tiles |
| 90 | 100 tiles |
| 100 | 110 tiles |
Native search and stalking stop scaling at 100. Archer PvM support uses Tracking only through its target of 80.
100–120 scaling: what you gain
100–120 scaling: what you gain
Only the skill in the first column changes unless the table says otherwise. Each extra trained point still uses one point from your shared total of 720.
PvP bow and crossbow damage
Only hits against players with a bow or crossbow qualify. No spell or melee attack receives this bonus.
| Trained Tracking | Ranged component |
|---|---|
| 100 | +10% |
| 105 | +12.5% |
| 110 | +15% |
| 115 | +17.5% |
| 120 | +20% |
Native search and stalking remain at their 100-skill maximum. Archer PvM support uses its separate Tracking target of 80.
Examples in play
Easy examples
A bow bonus, not a spell bonus
At trained Tracking 100, an eligible bow or crossbow hit against a player gains a +10% base-weapon component. Power Scrolls raise it to +12.5/+15/+17.5/+20% at 105/110/115/120. Spells and melee hits get none of this bonus.
Finding direction
Tracking points toward a detectable target but does not reveal every hidden opponent or guarantee a live position update.

Things to remember
- Archer PvM support reaches its Tracking target at 80.
- Tracking adds no spell or melee damage.
- Native search range does not rise beyond its 100-skill maximum.
Training and Skill Progression
TRAINING / SKILL PROGRESSION
One recommended activity for each skill range, with a short note on what you need.
Before you start: set Tracking to Up and leave room under the shared 720-point total. Set an unwanted skill to Down if the total is full.
NPC training: when the trainer listed for this skill offers a lesson, the fixed price is 300 gold and the lesson can reach 50.0 if both the individual and total caps have room.
Training area: supported Academy actions receive 5× normal gain through 80.0. An action still needs to run a real skill check; the Academy bonus cannot make an automatic or blocked action train.
Beyond 100: consume the matching 105, 110, 115 or 120 Power Scroll first. A scroll raises only the individual cap; it grants no trained points and does not increase the shared 720-point total.
Recommended training
Repeat the single activity listed for your level. These are practical training choices; the ranges are recommendations, not new unlock requirements.
| Your skill | What to repeat | Quick note |

| 0.0–21.0 | Select a Tracking category | Select a valid Tracking category and complete its required roll. |
| 21.1–80.0 | Select a Tracking category | Select a valid Tracking category and complete its required roll. |
| 80.0–100.0 | Select a Tracking category | Select a valid Tracking category and complete its required roll. |

Rules and numbers
Trained Tracking adds +10% to eligible PvP bow/crossbow hits at 100, rising at Power Scroll thresholds to +20% at 120. It never adds spell or melee damage. Native search and stalking stop scaling at 100; the separate Archer PvM support target is 80.
Exact rules and scaling
| Skill or situation | What it means |
|---|---|
| 50.0 | +5% eligible PvP bow/crossbow damage |
| 100.0 | +10% ranged damage; native search reaches its existing maximum |
| 105.0 | +12.5% ranged damage |
| 110.0 | +15% ranged damage |
| 115.0 | +17.5% ranged damage |
| 120.0 | +20% ranged damage; no further search or Archer PvM support |
Listed amounts describe the stated conditions. Equipment, target rules, damage, healing limits and other effects can change the final result. An example of a chance is never a promise of the same outcome on every attempt.
