Guardian
PvM · Complete character build
Shield tank and threat control
How It Plays
Hold monsters near you, protect allies with defensive Warrior Codex techniques and cast Magery healing spells when hurt.
Skill Distribution
These values use exactly 720 points from the shared 720-point skill cap.
| Skill | Target | Why it belongs |
|---|---|---|
| Swordsmanship | 100 | Sets accuracy for this sword example; use Mace Fighting or Fencing with a matching weapon. |
| Mysticism | 120 | Unlocks and scales Warrior Codex techniques. |
| Parrying | 120 | Uses a compatible equipped shield for blocking and Guardian support. |
| Tactics | 100 | Maintains weapon pressure and role scaling. |
| Focus | 100 | Contributes to Guardian support. |
| Arms Lore | 100 | Contributes to mitigation and threat support. |
| Magery | 80 | Provides Heal and Greater Heal for personal recovery without needing Anatomy. |
Books & Equipment
This example uses a one-handed sword, compatible shield, Warrior Codex and Magery spellbook with reagents. A one-handed mace or fencing weapon also works with the Codex: replace Swordsmanship 100 with its matching weapon skill at 100. Mysticism and Parrying 120 require Power Scrolls.
Important Rules · Caps and Progression
Training above 100 still uses points from the same 720. A matching Power Scroll raises an eligible individual skill ceiling; it grants no trained points and adds no room to the shared total.
Trained Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence share a separate 250-point limit. Requirements for books, abilities and equipment still apply when a listed skill reaches its target.
Native Necromancy is unavailable. Arcanism has its own progression and Arcane Spellbook, and its points count toward 720.
